A lovely sight in the grocery store parking lot. Really nice shade of orange.
A nd yeah, I parked behind it largely to chuckle at the contrast in size between this thing and my truck

You could park a Miata next to it and still chuckle at its smolness. Not as much as a Spitfire, though.

That’s a handsome specimen. Was the TR-6 any good?

That orange is glorious. I know I'm partial to orange, but still.

Handling is nothing exciting but even tuned for 1970s emissions the 2.5 6 cyl has enough power to keep up with modern traffic while sounding amazing. Mine has been pretty reliable: as long as the battery is good it starts every time. Roomier than a Miata too. The list of “common problems” beyond any 40 year old isn’t too bad. I think it’s gorgeous.
Drove mine to work last week.

I’d love to drive one. The green one is yours? I like the aspect ratio of the tires. I’ve never been one for rubber bands, thinking a 70-series is plenty wide enough.

I’ve always loved the TR-6 and that’s a stunning color. Not factory, I’m guessing ( because I’ve never seen it before?)

185 70R15 I think.
It actually belongs to my Boss but it lives at my house in exchange for full driving privileges. He’s owned it since the late 80s but seldom drove it and even less nowadays. I’ve taken it from about 52k to 58k in the 5 years it’s lived at my house.

It got resprayed at some point but it is at least close to the original “Java Green”

Cool. I love those tall tires.
